Job Description

As a Senior Accountant, you will be an integral part of our North American Regulatory Reporting team who are responsible for the delivery of regulatory returns for current and new markets.

A key part of the role will be managing the regulatory requirements for our established North American markets, ensuring all obligations for duty, taxes, and ad-hoc requests are met accurately and on time.

The North American market is expanding at a rapid pace which presents a fantastic opportunity for someone with a keen interest in process improvement and a collaborative mindset.

As the project lead for new territory launches, you will liaise with external regulators, partners, and internal stakeholders to establish robust reporting frameworks, ensuring a seamless transition into day-to-day operations.

This role is eligible for the Company's hybrid working policy.

Qualifications
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders.
  • A keen interest or proven experience in process improvement and project management.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated initiative with the ability to grasp new concepts quickly in a dynamic environment.
  • Proactive and highly organised, with a proven ability to manage workloads and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel skills. Encompassing macros, lookups, and data analysis functions.
  • Experienced in conducting complex reconciliations and has ability to analyse large datasets to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • An interest in the gambling industry and sports is desirable.
Additional Information
  • Managing assigned territories to ensure the accurate calculation of duties and taxes.
  • Acting as the project lead for regulatory reporting in new North American territories, overseeing setup and ongoing live market operations.
  • Developing and maintaining a robust control environment to guarantee the accuracy and timeliness of all submissions.
  • Liaising with external regulators, partners, and internal stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure compliance.
  • Coordinating and managing regulatory audits, acting as a key point of contact for external auditors.
  • Driving process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of reporting frameworks.
  • Working with Senior Management to develop and maintain reporting templates.
  • Building collective expertise by mentoring and supporting team members through regular meetings and objectives.
