Overview
An exciting opportunity is available for a Permanent Senior Staff Nurse in our State‑of‑the‑art purpose‑built Endoscopy unit.
Applications are open for B6 registered nurses and above who are dynamic, innovative and dedicated, with a strong background in the speciality and exceptional leadership skills with a passion to progress in management.
Responsibilities- The Senior Staff Nurse will have the delegated responsibility for the management of the clinical areas including assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, and the setting of standards on a shift basis.
- The Senior Staff Nurse will act as a credible and professional role model and encourage and empower other staff to develop both personally and professionally to achieve their maximum potential.
- The Senior Staff Nurse will work closely with the Senior Nurse for Q&A and the Senior Nurse for Education on the implementation of education and development plans, which involve the induction, mentoring, preceptorship and the on‑going professional development of all staff on the Unit. This will also include ensuring robust systems are in place to record and monitor ward performance against agreed targets for mandatory training.
- It is essential that the post holder can work within a diverse team, provide autonomous decision making and be aware of their limitations in accordance with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
