Join a friendly and supportive team within an independent, forward-thinking veterinary practice that continues to grow following the recent opening of a brand-new Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre. Founded by experienced vets with a shared passion for high-quality, compassionate care, the practice has been built around creating an environment where both pets and people can thrive. This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a close-knit, progressive team, working in a modern, well-equipped practice that values collaboration, innovation and gold-standard patient care.

As part of the nursing team, you will work closely alongside vets, nurses and support staff across both the hospital and rehabilitation centre, contributing to a wide and varied caseload. You will be encouraged to fully utilise your nursing skills, develop your clinical interests and play an active role in how the practice continues to evolve. You will have opportunities to become involved in inpatient care, anaesthesia, nurse-led clinics and rehabilitation work, with full support to pursue further training or certificates aligned with your interests.

This is a role where your ideas are welcomed and your professional development is genuinely supported.

Responsibilities

Your role will include:

* Delivering high-quality, compassionate nursing care to inpatients and outpatients

* Assisting with anaesthesia, surgical procedures and post-operative care

* Providing hands-on inpatient monitoring and treatment

* Running and developing nurse clinics

* Supporting rehabilitation services, including hydrotherapy and physiotherapy, where trained

* Working collaboratively with the wider clinical team on a varied caseload

* Communicating clearly and empathetically with clients

* Maintaining high clinical, hygiene and patient welfare standards

* Contributing to the smooth running of the hospital and out-of-hours service

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

* RCVS registration as a Registered Veterinary Nurse

* A proactive and enthusiastic approach to nursing

* Strong clinical skills with a willingness to learn

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills

* A genuine passion for patient care and animal welfare

* An interest in developing additional skills or pursuing further qualifications (certificates fully supported)

* Confidence to participate in an out-of-hours rota, with appropriate support

* Applications are welcomed from both newly qualified and experienced RVNs.

Benefits

An attractive and competitive benefits package is offered, including:

* Salary of £28,000–£34,000, depending on experience

* 5.6 weeks’ holiday, including bank holidays

* Uncapped CPD budget, with certificates fully supported and funded

* Professional fees paid (RCVS and VDS)

* Private healthcare

* Four-day working week

* Shared out-of-hours rota (1-in-3 weekends and one weeknight on call)

* Supportive, close-knit working environment

A Little More About the Practice

The purpose-built hospital features two fully equipped theatres, a dedicated dental suite and an advanced imaging suite, including DR X-ray, Doppler ultrasound and endoscopy. Separate cat and dog wards support a calm, Fear-Free environment, alongside outdoor space for patients and staff to enjoy fresh air. The adjoining Rehabilitation Centre offers hydrotherapy, an underwater treadmill and physiotherapy facilities, allowing comprehensive patient care under one roof.

Life in the Team

The team is known for being welcoming, supportive and genuinely collaborative. Social activities outside of work are encouraged, and the practice culture focuses on mutual respect, shared learning and enjoying work together. Join the team and be part of a practice that values professional growth, high clinical standards, and a supportive work environment. Apply today
