Ambulatory Practitioner – University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust

We are looking for Band 5, Registered Nurses in the Central Treatment Suite.

As an Ambulatory Practitioner you will support the delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centred care within the Ambulatory Surgery Department. The role requires adherence to COSHH regulations and involves substantial manual handling within safe limits.

• Assess patient needs and develop programmes of care.
• Implement and evaluate these programmes.
• Carry out all relevant forms of patient care.
• Provide skilled assistance within the Ambulatory Surgery Department and develop enhanced surgical or treatment skills commensurate with your competence.
• Supervise and educate junior colleagues.
• Act as a role model to students, nursing assistants and apprentices.
• Take charge of a specific Ambulatory Surgery/Treatment clinical suite when assessed as competent.
• Present a positive professional image of the organization and the Ambulatory team.

• Band 5 Registered Nurse experience in a clinical environment.
• Experience in a relevant clinical setting with manual handling.
• Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and relational ability with multidisciplinary teams.
• Motivation, enthusiasm and a commitment to developing skills.
