The OpportunityA well‑established, high‑engineering manufacturing business in Stoke‑on‑Trent is seeking a hands‑on Warehouse Team Leader to lead its stores and materials function within a fast‑paced production environment.

The RoleYou will take ownership of the day‑to‑day stores operation, ensuring materials are received, controlled, picked and kitted accurately and on time to support production.
This is not just a supervisory role – you will be actively involved in operations, setting standards and driving performance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead all goods‑in, goods‑out, picking, kitting and stock movements
- Ensure 100% ERP system accuracy and stock integrity
- Supervise, coach and develop a small team of 6 Stores Assistants
- Run daily briefings and allocate workload
- Promote a "Right First Time" culture
- Ensure production kits are complete, labelled correctly and delivered on time
- Maintain 5S standards and organised, safe working areas
- Support compliance with ISO and quality standards
- Min 2‑3+ years' experience in a manufacturing stores or warehouse environment
- Experience in electronics, automotive, aerospace or technical manufacturing (highly desirable)
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experience
- ERP/MRP system experience (e.g. SAP, Sage or similar)
- High attention to detail – able to differentiate similar components
- Forklift licence (Reach or Counterbalance preferred)
- Comfortable working in a hands‑on production environment
- Experience with Lean, 5S or quality systems such as ISO
9001 or AS9100 would be advantageous.
