Machinist - Premier Group

My client works within the engineering manufacturing sector, and they are looking to take on a CNC Machinist, on a permanent basis, in the Stoke area. The position offers a salary of £35,000 to £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience).

• Time served Engineer (NVQ/ Apprenticeship/ City & Guilds qualification ideally)
• Ideally 2 years’ experience or more in a similar engineering manufacturing / machine shop environment
• Experience of working with CNC, milling, turning or manual grinding
• Experience of working with Fusion
  360 programming or 5 axis machining would be desirable
• Be able to work with MS Office
• Good communication skills
• Have the ability to read/ interpret engineering drawings
• The ability to work well alone as well as part of a team

• Being responsible for the machining of one-off engineering components
• Working to the right standards and specifications
• Interpreting engineering drawings
• Writing CNC machining programs (turning/ milling/ grinding)
• Helping to train apprentices or less experienced team members
• Assisting with other general manufacturing activities
• Helping to drive the company’s Continuous Improvement program
• Maintaining high standards
