CNC Offline Programmer

Position: CNC Offline Programmer (Permanent)
Location: Cheadle

We’re hiring for an experienced CNC Offline Programmer to join a well-established precision engineering company based in Stockport.

In this role, you will be programming, setting up and improving CNC turning processes in an autonomous, hands-on position with real ownership of production quality and efficiency.

What will you be doing as a CNC Offline Programmer?

* Programming and optimising CNC turning machines (Fanuc controls – Doosan, Victor, HAAS)

* Creating and testing programs for new and complex parts (online & offline)

* Improving machining processes, cycle times, speeds, feeds and tooling

* Managing the DNC system and program control for the turning department

* Choosing and ordering tooling while keeping costs in check

* Reading engineering drawings, 3D models and applying GD&T

* Contributing to new product meetings (APQP)

* Supporting and training shop floor team members

* Driving continuous improvement using Kaizen and 5S

What will you need?

* Proven CNC turning programmer experience (Fanuc essential)

* Apprenticeship-trained or HND/HNC in Manufacturing Engineering

* Strong offline/online programming skills (Fanuc, Fusion/OneCNC or similar)

* Confident reading drawings, 3D models and using GD&T

* Experience improving processes and reducing waste

* Tooling selection and supplier working knowledge

* Proactive, detail-focused with a continuous improvement mindset
