Maintenance Engineer

Location: Stoke-on-Trent

Job Description:

We’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of all machinery at one of our clients in the Area. You’ll be responsible for identifying faults, responding to breakdowns, and coordinating repairs or replacements to keep production running at its best.

Key Responsibilities
 
* Carry out routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs to minimise downtime and support continuous production.
 
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
 
* Calibrate, adjust, and fine‑tune machinery to maintain accuracy and product quality.
 
* Work closely with production teams to ensure equipment settings meet required specifications.
 
* Keep detailed and accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and calibrations.
 
* Produce clear reports on machine performance, issues identified, and actions taken.
 
* Apply knowledge of CNC machinery, extrusion lines, and other equipment used in window and door manufacturing.
 
* Ensure all maintenance work complies with health and safety regulations.
 
* Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate safety measures.
 
* Support production teams by addressing machinery issues quickly and effectively.
 
* Provide technical guidance and training to operators on equipment use and maintenance best practice.
 
* Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce downtime.
 
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams on machinery upgrades, improvements, and modifications
HOURS
They will be expected to complete 3-month training on days by working
Mon-Fri 6am – 3pm (1 hr break) and then move onto our later shift which runs
4 days per week – Mon-Thu 2pm – 00:30 (30min break).
