Job Title: Warehouse Team Leader (Nights)
Location: Stoke
Working Pattern: Sunday – Thursday – 8 pm–4 am (37.5 hours)
Role SummaryTo drive and motivate Team Members in the achievement of daily operational targets, set by the Supervisory Team, with a focus on guiding and developing staff under your control.
Key Responsibilities- Drive the daily performance of operatives to achieve or exceed budgeted productivity and quality targets within a warehouse operation in line with departmental KPIs.
- Implement the daily staffing plan, ensuring optimum operational output at all times, escalating any areas of concern immediately to the Outbound Manager.
- Deliver training on operational procedures and processes in accordance with company strategy including but not exclusively Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Standard Operating Practice (SOPs).
- Actively endorse, promote and manage our Safety culture and status through team briefings, training and, if applicable, regular 1‑2‑1s.
- Support the Outbound Manager in achieving departmental and company objectives.
- Carry out any reasonable request as determined by the Management Team, promoting and supporting company initiatives.
- Manage direct reports, leading coaching and motivating the team through effective leadership to achieve performance targets.
- Ability to engage and motivate staff to create a positive work environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Strong time‑management abilities with a key focus on staff management.
- Knowledge of department‑specific systems and confidence to learn additional processes and systems.
- Ability to use initiative within predetermined boundaries.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively within predetermined boundaries.
- Understanding of warehouse and distribution processes.
- Familiarity with Security, Audit and Compliance processes.
