Senior Team Leader

• Team Management:
  Lead and supervise a team of yard workers, ensuring efficient workflow and high productivity
• Operations Oversight:
  Oversee daily operations, including loading/unloading timber, stock management, and maintaining yard cleanliness
• Safety Compliance:
  Ensure all team members adhere to safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments
• Inventory Control:
  Manage inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and ensure accurate record-keeping
• Customer Service:
  Coordinate with customers and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues
• Training and Development:
  Provide training and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
• Reporting:
  Prepare and submit regular reports on yard operations, inventory status, and team performance

£17.96 per hour (£36,500 per annum). All overtime X1.66

• Monday to Friday - Rotating
• Week 1: 06:00 to 14:00
• Week 2: 14:00 to 22:00

• Previous experience in a similar role within a timber yard or related industry
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
• Proficiency in using inventory management systems and other relevant software
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions
