Boots Healthcare Logistics Driver (HLD) – a role that delivers first‑class care to the community, ensuring medicines reach patients efficiently. This position prioritises the patient behind the parcel and offers more than a standard delivery job.
AboutThe Role
You will report to the Healthcare Logistics Manager and be responsible for providing outstanding customer care by delivering and collecting medicines from Care Homes, patients at home, GP surgeries and other Boots stores within an allocated route time. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while following safety protocols. A vehicle will be provided, maintained by Boots, along with all necessary training, a handheld device for pre‑planned routing and satellite navigation.

- Build great relationships with store teams, care homes and GP surgeries.
- Follow standards, operating policies and health and safety procedures.
- Drive safely and legally.
- Keep your vehicle maintained and clean, reporting any damage or issues.
- Feed back relevant customer comments and concerns and suggest improvements to the operation.
- Be a proud ambassador for Boots Healthcare Logistics.
- A minimum of 1 year’s driving experience.
- Able to read and interpret delivery routes and instructions.
- Enjoy following processes and working at pace to achieve service levels and targets.
- Physical stamina and capability to work in a manually demanding role with heavy lifting.
- Comfortable using new technology.
- Calm in the face of unexpected changes or challenges.
- Comfortable in new situations and meeting new people.
- A genuine desire to help people and provide legendary care.
- Basic numeracy skills.
- Experience in a driving role.
- Experience in a customer‑facing role.
