About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and committed Family Law Solicitor/Legal Exec to join our Family Law team. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of privately funded matrimonial and family law matters, providing clear, pragmatic, and empathetic advice to clients during emotionally challenging circumstances.
Key Responsibilities- Managing a caseload of matrimonial and private family law matters from instruction to conclusion
- Advising clients on divorce and dissolution proceedings
- Handling financial remedy applications, negotiations, and settlements
- Advising on children matters, including child arrangements, parental responsibility, and related applications
- Drafting pleadings, statements, consent orders, and other court documentation
- Conducting negotiations and alternative dispute resolution where appropriate
- Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
- Instructing and liaising with counsel and other professionals
- Attending court hearings and, where appropriate, conducting advocacy
- Maintaining a high standard of client care and file management
- Minimum of 2+ years PQE
- Proven experience in private family law and matrimonial matters
- Ability to manage a caseload independently
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
- Professional, empathetic, and client-focused approach
- Experience of advocacy and court work
- Ideally a member of Resolution and collaborative Lawyer, but not essential
- High-quality, privately funded family law work
