As a Junior Production Database Administrator, you will be production focused to help support our databases ensuring their performance, scalability and security.
Our department is responsible for the day-to-day management of all database servers, you will ensure the resilience, availability and maintenance of the database infrastructure that supports our business systems in a true 24/7 environment, keeping us online.
The team works on Microsoft SQL Server, Postgre
SQL and GCP databases, all of which are utilising high availability and disaster recovery configurations.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.
Responsibilities- Support production databases to ensure performance, scalability and security.
- Participate in day-to-day management of database servers to ensure resilience, availability and maintenance in a 24/7 environment.
- Work with Microsoft SQL Server, Postgre
SQL and GCP databases (Spanner, Alloy
DB) with high availability and disaster recovery configurations. - Write and interpret SQL statements; understand core database concepts.
- Operate in a fast-paced, multi-project environment with independent deadlines and deliverables.
- Maintain high attention to detail in all tasks.
- Assess the quality of all database releases to ensure business standards are followed.
- Deploy fit-for-purpose code to UAT and live, driving end-to-end ownership of requests through the process.
- Install, configure and upgrade database products across different environments.
- Respond to and resolve ad hoc requests to meet business and end-user requirements.
- Monitor, report on and maintain database activity and trends to enable capacity planning.
