Overview
The Estates, Facilities & PFI Division of the University Hospitals of North Midlands Trust are looking to appoint dynamic, enthusiastic Facilities Supervisors to support the Soft FM Domestic services. The Candidates will predominantly be based at our Royal Stoke Hospital Site. However on occasions there may be an element of across Site working at our County Hospital Site in Stafford, with free shuttle bus transport provided from each Site when required.
As part of the FM Services Team, the FM Services Supervisor will be responsible for managing the daily delivery of an efficient, effective, customer-focused quality service, appropriately and on time. The scope of the service includes, but is not limited to, Cleaning, Catering and Residencies. The role involves liaising with and maintaining business relationships with representatives of management within the Trust and other agencies as requested.
With a team of over 150 staff members, comprising Supervisors and Facilities Service Support Assistants, the successful candidate will require well practiced leadership skills, confidence to challenge practice, and the ability to contribute to the department’s ongoing success. The role is challenging and rewarding and requires organization, consistency, strong leadership, and knowledge of cleaning processes, COSHH, Food Standards and Health & Safety.

Responsibilities- Manage the daily delivery of an efficient, customer-focused quality service across Cleaning, Catering and Residencies.
- Liaise with and maintain relationships with management representatives within the Trust and other agencies as requested.
- Provide leadership to a team of over 150 staff, including Supervisors and Facilities Service Support Assistants.
- Promote adherence to National Cleaning Standards guidelines around Infection Prevention, PLACE, and reduction of hospital-acquired infections, and follow Food Hygiene Standards.
- Support and contribute to the continuation of unity between Stoke and County Site practices through meeting key performance targets.
- Demonstrate organized, consistent management and a proactive approach to safety, health, and quality standards.
- Knowledge of cleaning processes, COSHH, Food Standards and Health & Safety.
- Ability to lead, manage and develop a multidisciplinary facilities team.
- Flexible approach to working hours and shifts, including some weekends.
- Ability to work across multiple sites when required and to travel between sites as needed.
