Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to apply for an exciting opportunity to manage the procurement and stock control of Medicines in Aseptic services. The role of Senior Administration and Clerical Technical Officer will include responsibilities across the UHNM Pharmacy Procurement team and Aseptic department. The Aseptic department prepares and manufactures a variety of medicines including chemotherapy for direct administration for patients.
The post will be a 50/50 split between the Pharmacy Procurement team and Aseptic services department. You will support the medicines procurement functions, including ordering, invoicing and to-follows. It is a requirement to liaise with suppliers to support the timely purchasing of medicines and follow up any outstanding orders. This post will also be involved with the stock management of materials used for the preparation of Aseptic medicines.
You will not be required to participate in the preparation and manufacture of these items.
We are looking for someone who is able to show initiative; is helpful and approachable; organised and can work accurately; good IT skills, problem solving and communication skills.
Responsibilities- Support the medicines procurement functions, including ordering and invoicing.
- Follow up on outstanding orders with suppliers to ensure timely purchasing of medicines.
- Assist with stock management of materials used for the preparation of Aseptic medicines (not involved in preparation/manufacture).
- Work across the Pharmacy Procurement team and Aseptic services department in a 50/50 split capacity.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with initiative.
- Helpful and approachable, organised, and able to work accurately.
- Good IT skills, problem solving and communication abilities.
