Overview

University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship for this role. Role

We are looking for an individual to undertake a Therapy Technical Instructor post within the Medical & Surgical Therapy team. This post offers the opportunity to work in an exciting University Hospital and to be part of two clinically based teams that make up the Therapies Directorate. The role will work within acute wards across UHNM sites and will provide respiratory, post-surgical, medical, frail and emergency front of house care for patients across the West Midlands.

Supervision

& Development

Supervision will be provided by the Band 5/6/7 Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist, and personal development is supported through appraisal and internal and external training.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate within the medical and surgical teams to deliver therapy interventions.
  • Support front-of-house care across acute wards, including respiratory and post-surgical needs.
  • Engage in competency development for Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience of working within a healthcare environment and an understanding of Therapy interventions.
  • The post holder will be expected to complete competencies in both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy.
