We are looking for an individual to undertake a Therapy Technical Instructor post within the Medical & Surgical Therapy team.
This post offers the opportunity to work in an exciting University Hospital. The successful applicant will become part of two clinically based teams that make up the Therapies Directorate. The post will work within acute wards across UHNM sites.
The successful candidate should have experience of working within a healthcare environment and an understanding of Therapy interventions. The post holder will also be expected to complete competencies in both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy.
Main duties of the jobThis post offers the opportunity to work within the medical and surgical teams providing respiratory, post‑surgical, medical, frail and emergency front‑of‑house care for patients across the West Midlands.
Supervision will be provided by the Band 5/6/7 Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist and personal development is supported through appraisal and internal and external training.

Person Specification Education & Qualifications- GCSE English – Grace C/4 or above or evidence of good literacy
- GCSE Maths – Grace C/4 or above or evidence of good numeracy
- GCSE Science – Grace C/4 or above
- Completed or undertaking a Therapy Apprenticeship
- Qualification within health/social or sports environment
- Experience in an NHS or other Healthcare/social/Sports environment
- Experience of working in a therapy environment
- NHS experience
- Ability to travel to and work across multiple sites
