Diabetes Nurse

We have an exciting opportunity for a NMC Registered Band 6 Nurse to join our Diabetes Specialist Service based in North Staffordshire.

You will join our team of Specialist Nurses, Consultants, Educators, and Administration staff. The aim of the service is to provide specialist diabetes support and interventions within the community and across the primary care network through nurse‑led clinics and home visits.

You must have extensive and demonstrable skills specifically in diabetes management and will ideally hold an accredited course in diabetes or demonstrate a keen interest in diabetes management together with a keen interest in education, teaching and mentorship for health‑care professionals and patients.

You will additionally play a key role in supporting and educating patients, as well as community and practice staff, to improve the quality of diabetes care.

This opportunity will support professional development and enhance diabetes knowledge. Non‑medical prescribing, while not essential, إدارة advantageous.

Main duties of the job
  • Diabetes care and management.
  • Provide assessment of complex/specialist care/support needs and in the development, implementation, and evaluation of care/support packages.
  • Provideacion supervisory, training and leadership responsibilities where appropriate and will have some responsibility for team performance and service developments/improvements.
  • Demonstrate initiative and be creative in finding solutions to problems.
  • Work with the team leader undertaking delegated tasks in team management.
