Registered Veterinary Nurse - Maternity Cover

Overview

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the Knypersley team on a 12-month Fixed Term basis.

The practice includes a digital x-ray, dental x-ray, inhouse blood analysers and ultrasound services, alongside Medivet's hub and spoke model, allowing access to diagnostic equipment at our local 24-hour hospital including multi parameter, CT scanner, endoscope and a laparoscopic kit. The practice has been working very hard towards gaining the ISFM cat friendly clinic registration.

We are offering this on a full time basis of 40 hours per week over 5 days (08:30 - 18:30 Monday to Friday). Currently there is no weekend or OOH rota but this is subject to change.

• Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
• Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
• Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
• Deliver patient monitoring and care.
• Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
• Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
• Dispense and check medication.
• Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
• Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.

• RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
• Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
• Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
• Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
