Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
PFE Medical Ltd are a small family-run medical supply and manufacturing company, and we are looking to expand our engineering team in the Midlands, with the engineer being based from Head Office in Stoke-on-Trent. About the role:
The role will include Installation, routine service and testing on a range of UV Disinfector products used in Hospitals, located within the NHS and Private sector. Establish and maintain good customer relations by demonstrating a professional approach to work.
- Cultivate a positive rapport with the customer, demonstrating first-class interpersonal skills in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
- Carry out mechanical servicing of equipment.
- Carry out routine testing of Endoscopy Decontamination equipment to the relevant standards as stated in terms and conditions of the client’s contract.
- Carry out electrical/mechanical fault finding of equipment.
- Carry out calibration of equipment, where necessary.
- Maintain adequate stock levels of spare parts.
- Produce quality documentation for submission to the customer.
- Ensure the company equipment is being used and looked after correctly and that it is kept in a safe condition. To report all faulty equipment or equipment out of calibration to Service Manager.
- Organise and prioritise a continuously changing workload, ensuring that all customers’ calls and enquiries are replied to.
The post holder must:
- Read and comply with all Company and legislative rules, legislation and documentation.
- Hold either City & Guilds Levels 1 & 2 or an equivalent qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Hold a full UK driving licence (with no more than 3 points).
Previous knowledge and experience of repairing/service/testing electrical/medical equipment ideal but not essential.

Job Type:Full-time (Monday to Friday) but occasional overtime, nights away to cover holidays and for training purposes may be required.
