Summary

We have a unique opportunity to join a talented multi-disciplined team. We are looking for a self‑motivated individual who has a passion for engineering and technology. You should have mechanical/electrical (preferred) experience along with onsite industry exposure and experience of leading a small team. Experience with pumps and a solid understanding of pumping fundamentals is required. You will be competent with the use of IT to collate data which will be shared with the wider team.

The role will require frequent travel on a weekly basis throughout the UK, with additional international travel for specialist projects as training progresses.

Candidates should hold a Level 3 qualification or apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical engineering and have the aptitude to learn and develop in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment. Flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Flexibility to work away from home due to onsite work in the UK and overseas.
  • Install specialist equipment on site, and perform maintenance and repair work at our Stoke facility.
  • Work independently from home when not on site.
  • Adapt to weekly workload fluctuations; flexible working hours are a must.
  • Lead a small team of 2–3 people.
  • Collaborate with wider technical teams for cross‑disciplinary projects.
  • Conduct professional, respectful interactions with customers, colleagues, and the community.
  • Work autonomously and unsupervised while adhering to health and safety protocols set by Riventa and clients.
  • Engage in customer interfacing.
  • Perform health and safety duties (RAMS, etc.).
  • Carry out site surveys to scope new work and assist with planning/RAMS/authorisation.
  • Achieve high standards across multiple bespoke projects in a dynamic, energized, and professional environment.
Required Skills / Qualifications
  • At least 3 years’ experience in mechanical, process, or a similar engineering discipline.
  • Time‑served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
  • Level 3 City & Guilds, NVQ, or Diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Proven experience contributing to overall success with tangible, demonstrable output.
  • IT skills, particularly Excel, are preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Mechanical experience (pumps, pipework, valves).
  • Electrical experience ideal but not essential; full training will be provided.
  • Ability to learn new products and disciplines.
  • Driving licence (essential).
