We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our rotating machinery services team.

Salary: GBP 50,000 per annum.

Full Time (Permanent).

Working hours:

Monday-Thursday 8:00‑4:30, Friday 8:00‑3:00 (half‑hour lunch break).

Rotating Machinery Services design and build specialised equipment for companies in the Automotive, Pottery, Domestic Appliance, Aviation, and other manufacturing industries. We provide innovative, cost‑effective mechanical solutions and cover all jobs, large or small, nationwide and across Europe.

A Design Engineer will join a skilled team working on a wide variety of projects across Aerospace, Automotive, Food industry and more.

• Design product components, assemblies, tooling and machinery—designing for manufacture concepts.
• Produce 2D drawings, 3D models, concepts, assemblies and parts lists.
• Liaise with colleagues, suppliers and customers.

Enthusiastic, forward‑thinking, and able to work in a fast‑paced environment handling multiple projects simultaneously—from small components to bespoke manufacturing equipment and automation.

• Engineered mechanical design experience with knowledge of motors, drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, automation and robotics.
• Experience using CAD packages, with strong understanding of Autodesk.
• Ability to develop designs from concept through to final manufactured parts.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Experience in manufacturing industry including Aerospace and Automotive & knowledge of UKCA Marking, PUWER, LOLER and Machinery Safety Directive.
• Full clean driving licence.
