Equans is looking for an Energy Officer to join our energy team covering our HMCTS sites nationwide on a permanent basis. This is a full‑time role working 37.5 hours per week from 08:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday with a one‑hour unpaid break. A competitive salary and benefits package are offered.
The Energy Officer will report to the Energy Manager and work independently to provide Sustainability data and reports to our client. They will support the Energy Manager with completing the KPIs, monitoring and reporting energy, producing Display Energy Certificates and identifying energy‑saving opportunities.
What will you deliver?- Manage, monitor and report on energy and water usage.
- Undertake desktop and on‑site assessment of utilities.
- Understand the reporting requirements for Display Energy Certificates returns and deliver and manage these processes; training will be provided if the post holder does not already have assessor training.
- Provide low/no‑cost energy efficiency opportunities.
- Assist the client with behavioural change campaigns.
- Attend and present at client meetings for Sustainability and Utilities.
- Build strong relationships with external clients and support continuous improvements in Sustainability.

- Must have experience of sustainability/energy management, either acquired through a degree or practical experience.
- Low Carbon Consultant Certification is desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
- Experience of practical energy issues across a large, varied estate with a proven track record of optimising energy and water efficiency.
- Experience working with external clients; experience of M&T software, AMR technologies and reporting techniques.
- Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS).
