Position: Lecturer in Computing (Programming & Coding)
Location: Stoke-on-Trent

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Lecturer in Computing (Programming & Coding) role located in the Greater Stoke-on-Trent area near the city Train Station and transport hub. The lecturer will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality lessons on programming and coding to students across various levels of study form L2 BTEC to T-Level and HNC Computing. You will provide support and mentorship to students, develop innovative teaching resources, and ensure compliance with curriculum standards in addition to preparing learners for exam-based assessment.

Active collaboration with colleagues to enhance the learning environment and support student progression will be a priority.

Qualifications
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, HTML and C languages, and expertise in coding principles. Knowledge of Web App development and user interfaces
  • Knowledge of software development practices and proficiency in development tools
  • Experience in preparing teaching materials, lesson planning, and formative assessments
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills to engage diverse learners
  • Experience in post-16 education or training and assessing learners
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or related field
  • Familiarity with contemporary educational technologies and e-learning platforms
