Role Description

The Turnstile Operator will be responsible for the efficient and welcoming entry of supporters to Vale Park during match days and events. Tasks include ticket scanning, verifying valid tickets for entry, providing directions, and offering a friendly and professional service. Responsibilities also include managing queues, assisting with inquiries, and ensuring a positive experience for all attendees. This is an on-site role based in Stoke-On-Trent, with working hours centered around match schedules and events.

Qualifications
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with fans of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Attention to detail and ability to ensure tickets are valid and interactions with attendees are handled efficiently.
  • Teamwork and problem-solving skills to work collaboratively with other staff and address any arising challenges calmly.
  • Flexibility and availability to work during weekends, evenings, and public holidays, aligned with the club’s event schedule.
  • A friendly and professional demeanor, aligned with the values of inclusivity and respect.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing or event management role is desirable.
