- Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00
- Pay: Up to £33.30 per hour (umbrella)
- Location: Staffordshire

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and adolescents? Stoke on Trent Council is currently seeking experienced Social Workers / Senior Practitioners to join their Children's Services teams.

Your RoleAs a Social Worker / Senior Practitioner, you will:
- Complete statutory Child & Family Assessments
- Manage a caseload of Children in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children
- Develop, implement, and review care and support plans
- Lead and contribute to multi‑agency and safeguarding meetings
- Assess risk and ensure timely, effective interventions
- Support and mentor colleagues (Senior Practitioner level)
- Prepare reports and undertake court work when required
- Work closely with children, adolescents, families, and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes

What We’re Looking For- Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
- Experience working within Children’s Services
- Strong safeguarding, assessment, and decision‑making skills
- Ability to manage complex cases confidently
- Senior Practitioner applicants should have experience supporting or guiding colleagues
- A flexible, child‑focused approach to practice
- Supportive management and regular supervision
