Role SummaryThe Head of Sales will lead, develop, and implement the B2C sales strategy in the stairlift segment, driving revenue growth, customer acquisition and market share expansion in a highly competitive market. The leader will oversee a dynamic sales team, create innovative sales initiatives and work closely with other departments to optimise customer experiences, focusing on elderly and mobility‑impaired customers.
Key Responsibilities- Sales Strategy & Execution – Develop and execute the B2C sales strategy to meet and exceed revenue and growth targets. Analyse market trends, customer needs and competitor activities to adapt sales strategies for a competitive advantage. Plan and implement marketing and promotional campaigns in collaboration with marketing teams to drive lead and sales conversion rates.
- Team Leadership & Development – Build, lead and motivate a high‑performing B2C sales team; oversee hiring, training and professional development. Set clear sales targets, KPIs and performance metrics, provide coaching, mentorship and training to develop consultative selling and customer service skills.
- Customer Relationship Management – Drive a customer‑centric culture, focusing on excellent service and customer satisfaction, handling escalated issues and ensuring resolution aligns with company policies and expectations.
- Market & Competitor Analysis – Conduct regular competitor analysis to understand market position and identify opportunities for differentiation. Gather and analyse customer feedback and sales data to adapt strategies and respond to market changes.
- Financial & Operational Oversight – Prepare and manage the sales budget, forecasting and financial reporting, ensuring profitability targets are met. Monitor expenses, profitability and ROI for all sales activities and allocate resources efficiently.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Collaborate with marketing, customer service and installation teams to improve product offerings and align sales strategies with broader company goals. Communicate effectively with senior management on sales strategies, market opportunities and team performance.
- Minimum 8‑10 years of progressive B2C sales experience, ideally within an industry that focuses on direct consumer selling.
- Proven experience in managing and developing successful sales teams with a focus on B2C markets.
- Understanding of the stairlift or mobility industry is preferred, particularly customer needs and direct selling.
- Degree education advantageous but not essential.
- Strategic Thinking – Strong ability to develop actionable plans and execute effectively.
- Sales Acumen – Exceptional sales, negotiation, and closing skills, driving revenue growth.
- Analytical Skills – Interpreting data to make informed business decisions.
- Customer Orientation – Empathy and understanding of elderly and mobility‑impaired customers.
- Communication Skills – Excellent verbal and written communication, influencing at all levels.
- Resilience – Ability to work under pressure, adapt to change and remain focused on goals.
- Achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual sales and revenue targets.
- Growth in market share within the B2C segment.
