About The Job

The Store Lead supervises, manages, and motivates team members daily, focusing on long-term growth within our organization and community. As a first-level supervisor, you will be passionate about customer service, communication, teamwork, and results. You should be action-oriented to ensure smooth operations and collaborative problem-solving.

What You Will Do
  • Open and close the store as needed.
  • Support Front Desk staff in answering calls and returning messages/emails promptly.
  • Assist customers online, over the phone, and in person with questions about cannabis laws, regulations, and inventory.
  • Supervise sales activities of bud tenders and ensure excellent customer service.
  • Assist with training new employees and guide new hire mentors.
  • Delegate duties and responsibilities during the MOD segment.
  • Maintain inventory best practices in collaboration with the Inventory Manager.
  • Manage daily cash handling and register operations.
  • Ensure safety and security of guests, staff, and assets, responding rapidly to issues.
  • Handle major incidents, emergencies, and natural disasters according to protocol.
  • Enforce compliance SOPs to meet all legal requirements.
  • Support Product Specialists with product knowledge and customer issue resolution.
  • Maintain and enhance the store’s reputation.
  • Stay informed on cannabis legislation, actions, and enforcement.
  • Build trust with team members and brand partners.
  • Provide growth opportunities for employees and foster a positive work environment.
  • Represent the company at community events professionally.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Ensure compliance with internal, local, and state regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and use discretion with sensitive information.
  • Perform other related work as needed.
  • What We Are Looking For
  • Must be 21+ years old.
  • Retail management experience (minimum 1 year preferred).
  • Customer service experience (minimum 3 years).
  • Experience in the cannabis industry is highly desirable.
  • Experience in medical services/health & wellness is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Proficiency in English (reading and writing).
  • Proven team management skills and training excellence.
  • Knowledge of medicinal effects of cannabis.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic math and financial decision-making skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Basic Adobe Creative Suite skills (Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
  • Passion for serving the medical cannabis community.
  • Ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Organized, patient, and flexible.
  • Compensation

    The hourly pay range is $19.00 - $22.00, depending on skills, experience, and location.

    Physical Requirements /Work Environment
  • Normal, corrective vision; color vision; ability to distinguish letters, numbers, symbols.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Climb, push, pull, stoop, grasp, walk, sit, stand, bend, reach.
  • Operate related equipment requiring manual dexterity.
  • Normal hearing range.
  • No allergies or fears of insects.
