As a Detail Inspector I, you will play a key role in ensuring the precision and safety of aerospace components. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help keep aircraft flying and customers satisfied.
What you'll do:- Conducting visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and completed components, subassemblies, and products
- Identifying and suggesting improvements to inspection methods and processes
- Communicating quality concerns to QA and Production Management and providing necessary samples
- Organizing work and storage areas to ensure workflow efficiency and support 5S/workplace organization principles
- Using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.
- Participating in internal audits and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- Maintaining clear, effective communication with your team and leadership
- Staying self-motivated, task-focused, and committed to delivering excellence
- Performing additional duties as assigned to support team and operational goals
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of quality assurance or inspection experience
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, data entry)
- Certification in precision inspection or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on GD&T application experience
- Previous experience in Aerospace, Defense, or MRO environments
