The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct resident care in accordance with individualized care plans, physician orders, facility policies, and state and federal regulations. The CNA plays a vital role in supporting residents to maintain their highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being while preserving dignity and respect.

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral hygiene, and feeding
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, turning, positioning, and range‑of‑motion exercises
• Measure and record vital signs, weights, intake and output as assigned
• Observe and promptly report changes in resident condition to the licensed nurse
• Answer call lights promptly and respond to resident needs with compassion and professionalism
• Support meal service and hydration programs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized resident environment
• Follow infection control procedures and proper PPE use
• Accurately document care provided
• Protect resident privacy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA
• Promote resident rights and immediately report concerns of abuse, neglect, or safety issues
• Participate in interdisciplinary communication and required in‑services

Current, unrestricted Illinois CNA certification
CPR certification
Strong verbal and non‑verbal communication skills
Skilled nursing facility experience preferred

• Ability to lift and/or assist residents (up to 50 lbs. or more with assistance)
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching
• Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
• Ability to work in a healthcare setting with potential exposure to infectious diseases
