About the Role
We are looking for an exceptional Chief Officer of Policy and Programs (COPP) to spearhead our strategic initiatives aimed at transforming public education. As a key leader, you will create and promote evidence-based policy solutions that will make a significant difference, especially for underserved students. Ideal candidates will possess a visionary approach with a profound understanding of school systems, a fervent commitment to state policy, and a robust history of successful policy reform.
In this role, you will:
- Direct and implement the organization's policy strategy.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of significant educational issues.
- Build and strengthen strategic partnerships to advocate for meaningful systemic changes.
We seek a candidate with over 12 years of experience in education, policy, research, or advocacy, particularly in evidence-based practices. Your ability to build coalitions and drive collective action while leading an accomplished team will be crucial. This is a hands-on leadership position where a balance of big-picture vision and meticulous attention to detail is needed.
