As the Production Supervisor, you will serve as a pivotal leader in driving the success of daily operations across packaging, cellars, and fulfillment. You will be responsible for overseeing frontline team members, maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards, and ensuring production targets are consistently met. This role demands a hands‑on approach to leadership—fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
You'll champion operational excellence while actively supporting employee growth and development in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. This position typically works Monday‑Friday. However, you will be required to work longer hours, including the weekends during both the duration of Corto’s olive harvest season and as needed throughout the year. The Harvest Season is generally 5 weeks long but this can extend.
position will be primarily responsible for:
- Directly supervise production employees on assigned shift, ensuring schedules, safety, and quality standards are consistently met.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and recognition to drive engagement and accountability.
- Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations of packaging, cellar, warehouse, and fulfillment areas.
- Execute production schedules, monitor progress, and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with Maintenance and Quality teams to address equipment or product concerns quickly.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Enforce compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Conduct routine safety checks and elevate hazards or violations immediately.
- Track KPIs (efficiency, quality, throughput, safety) and use metrics to drive improvements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and collaborate with leadership on solutions.
- Support Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis, and problem‑solving initiatives.
- Develop, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Maintain accurate production records, logs, and shift reports.
- Lead daily huddles to align the team on priorities, goals, and key updates.
- Ensure smooth hand‑off between shifts and effective communication across departments.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 5+ years of experience in a production, manufacturing, or food/beverage environment.
- 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of production processes, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and motivate frontline employees.
- Effective problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
- Experience in food manufacturing or similar regulated industries.
- Familiarity with ERP/CMMS systems and operational dashboards.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
