Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the NICU will be responsible for delivering specialized nursing care to critically ill neonates. The unit has a 30-bed capacity with an average census of 22. The RN will be required to float to Pediatrics and Postpartum units as needed and will provide care that includes couplet care. Familiarity with Cerner and specific NICU equipment is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates in the NICU
• Float to Pediatrics and Postpartum units and manage patient assignments including couplet care
• Interpret basic arrhythmias and consult with neonatal nurse practitioners or MDs

Requirements:

• Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
• Experience with Cerner EMR
• Strong IV skills necessary
• Cerners Experience and completion of MyJourney modules prior to arrival
