Job Title: Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
Location: Stockton, California
Job Type: Full-Time Contract (6 months, with potential extension)
Pay Rate: $53.50 - $55.50 per hour
Position Overview
We are currently hiring a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) for a full-time contract position in Stockton, CA. This opportunity offers consistent hours, excellent compensation, and the chance to transition into a permanent role with state-level benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-call crisis support and emergency mental health consultations during workdays
- Conduct detailed psychological evaluations, including review of criminal and substance abuse histories
- Assess and document suicide risk with clinical accuracy
- Deliver psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and one-on-one evaluation seven in high-pressure or challenging environments
- Collaborate with medical and support staff to ensure comprehensive mental health diagnosis and care
- Draft clinical reports, treatment plans, and offer consults on complex psychiatric cases
- Monitor and document patient progress, maintaining high ethical standards and fulfilling reporting obligations
- Actively participate in care team discussions and case planning
Required Qualifications
- Experience:Minimum 12 months of recent LPCC experience within the past 3 years providing direct patient care
- Education:Masters Degree in Counseling or a related field
- License:Active LPCC license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
- Certifications:Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Documents:Valid Drivers License or Passport
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay of $53.50 to $55.50
