Project Accountant

We are looking for a construction project accountant to join our team! You will be the primary accounting and administrative support for construction projects, from project startup to final closeout.

• Budgeting & Forecasting:
  Prepare, monitor, and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
• Cost tracking:
  Track all project expenditures, revenue, and commitments, analyzing variances against budgets.
• Reporting:
  Prepare timely financial reports for management, detailing project performance, profitability, and risks.
• Billing & Invoicing:
  Manage project billing cycles, generate invoices, process payments, and track collections. Assess and pursue opportunities for maximization of client billing and communicate to project manager.
• Compliance:
  Ensure all financial activities comply with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant regulations.
• Analysis & Support:
  Provide financial analysis, investigate cost overruns, and offer insights to project managers.
• Record Keeping:
  Maintain accurate project financial records, contracts, and documentation.
• Month-End Close:
  Assist with month-end closing activities.

• Accounting: fundamental knowledge of GAAP, strong understanding of accounting principles, budget management, financial reporting, cost control, and data analysis.
