Bockmon & Woody Electric Co., Inc., located in Stockton, CA, is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Estimator to join our team. This position involves preparing detailed electrical cost estimates for commercial, industrial, institutional, and solar projects, including design‑build proposals. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and a strong background in electrical estimating.

• Prepare Design/Build, conceptual, and budget estimates.
• Execute timely and accurate material take‑offs.
• Develop scope letters and proposals for submission.
• Collaborate with the Pre‑Construction Department to streamline processes.
• Participate in new project kick‑off meetings to ensure smooth project initiation.
• Evaluate drawings and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Ensure accurate cost estimation for profitability and competitiveness.
• Embrace technology and process improvements to enhance estimating efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned to support estimating functions.

• College degree preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with Estimating Software (e.g., Accubid Anywhere or EBM).
• Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
• Experience with RFIs, material take‑offs, negotiating, and reading plans/specifications.
• Knowledge of the NEC and local electrical codes is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

• Field experience as an electrician.
• Strong familiarity with physical electrical design, including switch gear layouts, distribution panels, power panels, and equipment arrangements.

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shifts.
• Location: On‑site office position in Stockton, CA.

• Based at Bockmon & Woody Electric Co., Inc.'s office, with occasional site visits as necessary.
