AB Staffing is seeking experienced Special Education Teachers for the 2025/2026 school year.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or related field from an accredited institution
• Valid Special Education Teaching Certificate/License in California
• Proficiency in subject area; experience with case management, paperwork, compliance, and IEPs
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal special education regulations
• At least one year of teaching experience with students with disabilities, including behavior disorders and cognitive delays (preferred)
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, see and read computer and printed materials, hear and understand speech, and follow oral and written instructions
• Physical ability to walk, stand, stoop, and lift up to 40 pounds as needed

Job Description:

Caseload and classroom details vary based on location. Recruitment specialists will discuss specifics upon application to match your experience and skills.

Contract duration: through the 2025/2026 school year, 37.5 to 40 hours per week, aligned with the academic calendar.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and programs tailored to students' needs
• Adapt curriculum based on IEPs and diverse learning styles
• Maintain communication with parents and collaborate on strategies
• Create a safe, organized, and positive learning environment
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure a productive atmosphere
• Provide individualized and group instruction using specialized techniques
• Assess and track student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulations
• Collaborate with educators and specialists
• Engage in ongoing professional development

Salary:

$1,875.00 – $2,212.00 per week, DOE
