Care Assistant for a young child in Stockton-on-tees - Stockton-on-Tees - TS19

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and patient Personal Care Assistant to support a wonderful child with additional needs. This is a flexible, part-time role—ideally one or two days a week, with hours varying depending on family needs.

• Enjoys cars, wheels, soft play, and bouncing activities
• Dislikes loud noises, crowded places, and changes in routine
• Diagnosed with dyspraxia, sensory needs, speech and language difficulties, global developmental delay, with possible autism and ADHD
• Uses a wheelchair for outings
• Has no awareness of danger and is not toilet trained, so comfort with personal care is essential

• Taking the child to parks, soft play centres, and walks on their scooter
• Playing games and engaging in activities at home
• Providing personal care, including changing
• Ensuring a safe, calm, and engaging environment

• Has experience with children, especially those with special needs
• Is hard-working, dependable, and kind
• Has lots of patience and a genuine passion for supporting children
• Is flexible with availability and responsive to changing needs

Support will be provided in the family home and local community (exact location shared upon application).
