Accounting Clerk

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Stockton, California. This long-term contract position offers an opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations within the transport industry. The role requires a strong focus on accuracy, organization, and an ability to manage accounts payable processes effectively.

Responsibilities:

- Process vendor invoices and accurately input them into the accounting system.

- Review batch proofs to ensure all financial data has been entered correctly.

- Submit verified batch proofs for approval and posting.

- Perform data entry for accounts payable and journal entries with precision.

- Maintain organized records of financial transactions for auditing purposes.

- Collaborate with the finance team to address discrepancies in invoices or payments.

- Assist in reconstructing financial data for specified time periods.

- Support accounts receivable processes as needed.

- Utilize accounting software such as Quick Books to manage financial data effectively.

Requirements - Demonstrated experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Solid accounting knowledge, including journal entries and invoice processing.

- Proficiency in Quick Books and other accounting software.

- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.

- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple financial tasks.

- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and communicate effectively.

- Familiarity with data reconstruction and financial record-keeping.

- Previous experience in the transport industry is a plus.
