Production Operative

Position: Production Operative (Permanent)
Location: Sedgefield

Imperial Recruitment is recruiting for a Production Operator on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business within the packaging sector, based in Sedgefield.

This is a hands-on role supporting production operations, ensuring products are packed to customer specifications while meeting strict quality, hygiene, and safety standards. The role offers excellent work-life balance due to the rotating shift pattern.

Location:

Sedgefield
Salary: £27,081 per annum
Shift Pattern:

* 3 days on (7am–7pm), 3 days off

* 3 nights on (7pm–7am), 3 days off

Holidays: 24 days plus Bank Holidays
Additional Benefit:
Approximately 180 days off per year due to shift pattern

Key Responsibilities:

* Packing, labelling, sorting, and manual handling of products

* Ensuring products meet customer and BRC quality standards

* Completing quality checks and production paperwork accurately

* Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment

* Reporting defects, quality issues, or safety concerns promptly

* Supporting machine clean-downs and waste segregation

About You:

* Previous experience in manufacturing or production is desirable

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

* Able to work safely in a fast-paced environment

* Flexible, reliable, and willing to learn

* Comfortable working rotating day and night shifts
