Materials Buyer

Position: Materials Buyer (Permanent)
Location: Sedgefield

Imperial Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing business within the packaging sector to recruit an experienced Packaging Procurement Manager.

This is a key role responsible for managing the procurement of packaging and printed materials, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, sustainability, and continuity of supply in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead procurement of packaging and printed materials

* Develop and manage strong supplier relationships

* Negotiate contracts and deliver measurable cost savings

* Drive sustainable and innovative packaging solutions

* Manage forecasts and stock levels in collaboration with Planning and Production

* Support business growth through strategic sourcing

About You:

* Proven procurement experience within manufacturing or packaging

* Strong commercial and negotiation skills

* Experience working with packaging materials and suppliers

* Knowledge of industry standards and compliance is desirable
