Role Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager with a strong mechanical bias to oversee the delivery of modular building projects. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, client-facing, and possess a background in pipe fitting or mechanical systems. This role requires a proactive leader who ensures quality assurance, safety compliance, and efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Management:
Lead and manage modular building projects from planning through to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
* Quality Assurance:
Implement and monitor QA processes to maintain high standards across all mechanical and structural aspects.
* Client Liaison:
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
* Hands-On Leadership:
Provide technical guidance and practical support on-site, particularly in mechanical and pipe fitting areas.
* Team Coordination:
Supervise and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
* Compliance:
Ensure all works adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Problem Solving:
Quickly resolve technical and operational issues to keep projects on track.
Essential
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience as a Construction Manager or similar role within modular building projects.
* Strong mechanical bias, ideally with a background in pipe fitting or mechanical systems.
* Excellent knowledge of quality assurance processes and standards.
* Hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example on-site.
* Exceptional client-facing and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and teams effectively.
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
Desirable:
* Experience with modular building assembly and installation.
* Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems integration.
* Relevant certifications in construction management or mechanical engineering.
This role will require working away 4/5 days a week with all travel and accommodation paid for.
