RF Technician

Position: RF Technician (Permanent)
Location: Sedgefield

We are looking for an RF Alignment Technician to support the testing, tuning and verification of RF and microwave modules and subsystems within a production environment.

This is a practical, hands-on technician role, working closely with test and engineering teams to align products to specification and support day-to-day production and test activities.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out alignment, tuning and basic calibration of RF and microwave modules and assemblies

* Set up and operate RF test equipment such as spectrum analysers, signal generators, VNAs and power meters

* Perform routine RF tests including output power, gain, frequency response, return loss and basic noise measurements

* Follow defined test and alignment procedures and accurately record results

* Identify and report faults or deviations during testing and support fault-finding under engineering guidance

* Assist engineers and senior technicians during new product introduction and test bench setup

* Support production teams by re-testing, re-working and verifying units where required

* Maintain a clean, safe and organised test environment and follow health & safety procedures

Skills & Experience

* Practical experience with RF, microwave, or similar alignment tasks is advantageous.

* Comfortable using measurement and test equipment (training provided if needed).

* Strong attention to detail and methodical approach to work.

* Ability to follow instructions, document results, and work in a team.

* Positive attitude and safety-conscious mindset
