Job Title: Shipping & Logistics Coordinator
Location: Stockport
Salary: £33,000 - £38,000 per year
Position Type: Full-Time
About the RoleMy Manufacturing/Engineering client is looking for a proactive Shipping & Logistics Coordinator to join our busy Logistics team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with international shipping experience who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. You will report to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager and play a key role in ensuring our products are delivered accurately and on time to our global customer base.
WhatYou'll Do
- Coordinate and oversee the delivery of products domestically and internationally
- Collaborate with clients, freight forwarders, and haulage providers to ensure first‑class service
- Manage customer orders from planning to delivery, resolving any issues proactively
- Prepare and check shipping documents, including Dangerous Goods notes (training provided)
- Arrange pre‑shipment inspections, Certificates of Origin, and liaise with shipping lines
- Assist with aftersales dispatch issues and ensure customer complaints are resolved quickly
- Support weekly and monthly KPI reporting for the department
- Experience in exporting/importing goods internationally (Road, Air & Ocean)
- SAP knowledge or willingness to train (SAP experience desirable)
- Exposure to multi‑product manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of shipping documentation (Bills of Lading, EUR1, C of O, LOC, Insurance schedules)
- Dangerous Goods handling (training provided if not already qualified)
- Strong communication skills and customer focus
- Accurate data entry and attention to detail
- Able to work under pressure and as part of a team
- Competitive salary: £33,000 - £38,000 per year
