Trainee Drain Repair Engineer

Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £12.21‑£13 per hour

Hours:

45 hours per week

As a Trainee Drain Repair Engineer, you will:

• Work as part of a team repairing below-ground drainage systems
• Excavate by hand to expose and replace defective pipework at domestic and commercial properties
• Replace broken gullies and manhole chambers
• Reinstatement of excavated areas where required
• Operate safely and efficiently while following company health and safety procedures
• Learn from experienced engineers on live projects from day one

All PPE and Tools Supplied

Structured Progression Pathway – become a fully qualified Drain Repair Engineer within 6‑12 months

Fully Funded Industry Training and Certifications, including:

• Cable Avoidance Tool (CAT) and Genny Training
• Abrasive Wheels
• Confined Space Entry
• EUSR Categories 2, 3, 4 and 5
• Asbestos Awareness
• A significant range of additional specialist training courses to support your development

A reliable, motivated individual who takes pride in their work

Physically fit and capable of manual excavation

Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

Eager to learn, develop, and progress in a skilled trade

Full UK driving licence (required)

Excellent timekeeping and a strong work ethic
