Manchester We are seeking a motivated Scientific Officer to join the Transgenic Team, supporting the care, welfare and breeding management of transgenic mice under the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986. Key Responsibilities:

Daily husbandry, welfare checks and record‑keeping Managing transgenic breeding colonies Supporting processes such as cryopreservation and rederivation Working to SOPs and promoting the 3

Rs Participating in weekend and bank holiday rotas Contributing to facility upkeep and equipment maintenance Essential: HNC in Animal Technology (or equivalent) Current/previous Personal Licence (PIL A–B) Experience in transgenic mouse breeding and colony management Strong organisational and communication skills Accuracy, attention to detail and ability to work independently Flexibility, including weekend/bank holiday work Desirable:
Degree in Biological Sciences

Experience with oncology strains or complex breeding schemes
