An exciting opportunity has arisen for a maintenance person to join the team at Olea care.
Working: 37.5 hours per week over 5 days
3 locations:
Stockport, Chorlton and Newton Heath
Reporting to the home Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the general maintenance of the care homes, with a caring, can‑do attitude. Experience working in building maintenance. Ideally, some of that has been gained in a care home setting. As well as being very practical, you’ll like dealing with people and are happy building good relationships with residents, colleagues and contractors.
Being a multi‑tasker who can work well under pressure and use initiative to solve problems. Above all, a team player who takes pride in their work and is committed to maintaining a safe, comfortable environment for our residents, staff and guests.
Your role
The safety of our care home residents and staff is really important. So your role will be to make sure the premises and grounds are maintained to a high standard. You’ll perform regular checks, carry out repairs and, when needed, contact engineers or service agents. You’ll be confident doing fire, basic electrical and appliance checks. Faults must be reported and actioned promptly.
We’ll also expect you to keep the grounds looking tidy and carry out general redecoration work. As our Maintenance Person, you’ll be a valuable member of our friendly, close‑knit team, promoting the well‑being of our residents and the successful running of our care home.

Our ideal Maintenance Person will have the following skills and values:
- Full clean driving license.
- Experience of DIY and decorating.
- Caring nature.
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
- Flexibility and be able to adapt to the needs of Residents.
- A Health & Safety or Maintenance qualification is desirable.
