Legal Cashier

Overview

An established law firm in Stockport is looking for an experienced Legal Cashier to join their Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with at least two years' experience in a law firm environment who is ready to progress their career.

• Managing client and office account transactions, including receipts, payments, transfers, and write-offs
• Monitoring client account balances and handling petty cash, credit card transactions, expense claims, purchase invoices, and supplier payments
• Preparing and maintaining management reports, including fee earner and departmental performance, and supporting the Head of Finance/COFA with management accounts
• Assisting with internal and external audits and ensuring adherence to Solicitors Accounts Rules
• Maintaining accurate financial records in the practice management system and supporting process improvements

• Previous experience as a Legal Cashier in a law firm
• Strong knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules and management reporting
• Experience with legal accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
