Overview
The post holder will be a Registered Nurse responsible for the delivery of high quality patient care and upholding the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) professional standards. Working as part of the multidisciplinary team, they will be an accountable practitioner responsible for assessing, planning, evaluating and co-ordinating care delivery. They will assist in the admission and discharge processes for patients in line with local procedures.
Responsibilities- Deliver skilled nursing care to patients using a systematic cycle of assess, plan, implement and evaluate to ensure a high standard of care.
- Assist in admission and discharge processes and support effective patient admission pathways and discharge planning, using clinical skills to agree admissions and manage/report impact on shifts, workload and staffing levels.
- Proactively engage with patients, relatives and carers to seek their views, gain agreement and keep them informed about treatment and care. Demonstrate compassion by recognising and responding to individual needs in a warm, thoughtful, sensitive and helpful way.
- Demonstrate accountability as part of the multidisciplinary team and maintain professional standards in line with NMC guidance.
If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £54.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary. In addition, it will be a condition of employment that you join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £16.
