Payroll Administrator

The role

• Processing end-to-end payroll for over 2,000 employees in line with HMRC legislation and company policies
• Managing starters, leavers, salary changes, and contractual updates in collaboration with HR
• Handling statutory payments including SSP, SMP, SPP and pensions auto-enrolment
• Responding to payroll queries with professionalism, discretion, and empathy
• Maintaining accurate payroll records and ensuring data confidentiality
• Producing payroll reports and supporting finance and management requirements
• Assisting with year-end activities such as P60s, P11
  
  Ds, and reconciliations
• Contributing to continuous improvement of payroll processes and team best practice

• Experience of end-to-end payroll in a medium to large organisation
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, tax, NI, statutory payments, and pensions
• Experience using payroll systems and confidence working with Excel
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• A professional, discreet approach to handling sensitive information
• A team-focused mindset and willingness to share knowledge

• Salary of £30,000 – £34,000
